Logging onto a new machine for the first time

Make sure the computer is connected to the internet: click the globe icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen to connect to local WiFi

Wait at least 1 minute after connecting to the internet before proceeding.

Click “Other user” from the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

Log in with your current credentials using the information below:
Computer username: full email address (first initial and last name: [email protected])
Computer password and e-mail password are the same.
If you are newly hired, your temporary password follows the format underlined below:
Edison + two digits of your start month and day
Example: “Edison0201” (without quotes if you started on 02/01)
Notes:
If you get an error message saying the domain controller cannot be reached, this means you either did not wait long enough after connecting to the internet or there is a conflict with our network and your home network which will have to be addressed by IT on your start.
It is important not to restart a new computer before signing on for the first time.
If you are newly hired, you may be prompted to change your password.
Please change your password to meet the following requirements:

Not contain the your account name or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters

Be at least 7 characters in length

Contain characters from three of the following four categories:

English uppercase characters (A through Z)

English lowercase characters (a through z)
-
Base 10 digits (0 through 9)

Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
It takes a few minutes to log on for the first time.
